Hans Holbein the Younger (1497-1543) Portraitist of the Rennaisance by Jane Choy-Thurlow
This phenomenal artist has done so much to create our image of this turbulent time through his portraits, especially of Henry VIII, his wives and courtiers, but what makes his work so special? Why are his portraits so intriguing?
Jane Choy-Thurlow is an educational consultant in The Netherlands. Having lived in Holland for many years, she enjoys teaching English as a second language and helping families relocate to The Netherlands. Jane is also involved in promoting the arts by being affiliated with several museums and is Chairman of the Mainland Europe NADFAS societies. Previously, Jane has worked for the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development involved in youth unemployment, and the Center of Educational Research and Innovation projects.
